THE TEAM

AARON GOFFMAN, writer, director

Aaron Goffman was born in Hollywood and raised in The Valley. He studied music and photography throughout high school and college, finding inspiration in the mixture of images, sounds, and emotions. His first jobs were as a photo assistant to high-profile advertising photographers such as Herb Ritts, James Wood, and Reid Miles. When those photographers moved from print into commercials, Goffman was introduced to the world of film production, working as a P.A., production manager, and producer. He joined the DGA as a Second A.D.

A desire to get his hands dirty led Goffman into the art department, where he learned production design from the ground up - working as an assistant art director, property master, set decorator, and eventually art director, joining The Art Directors Guild. He was the production designer or property master on numerous music videos and commercial campaigns, working for well-known directors including Tony Scott, David Fincher, Joe Pytka, and Sam Bayer. From there, Goffman became a member of IATSE Local 44, and moved into television production, serving as the property master on TV shows such as CSI: New York (CBS), Grown-ish (ABC), Minx (HBO), and A.P. Bio (NBC).

Goffman has directed numerous music videos and spec commercials. He made his dramatic directorial debut in 2024 with the award-winning short film “DARCINE’S DAY,” which has screened on five continents, been translated into five languages, and earned festival awards for best director, best writing, and best film.
